Here are the audio versions of my 2nd and 3rd posts on this blog. Say hello (again) to The Specifics and Nujabes!
As the title states, before the start of the New Year (or during the start), go and check out the artists I’ve previously discussed on the Discovery blog! I started this blog in my freshman year of college, so just in case, be easy on the young me haha 😉
Wow, another year. I’ve had this blog for about 3-4 years now, and I can’t wait to provide more content for the years to come! Thanks to all who dropped by the site during this time-span. As for now……
I wish you all a H A P P Y N E W Y E A R ! ! !
J Dilla – The Man, The Myth, The Legend
The Specifics – Smoothest group you’ll ever hear
Nujabes – My favorite artist of all time; one of the greatest music producers
Gang Starr – Old school vibes that are timeless
Yoko Kanno – Another of my favorite artists; a goddess among composers
This time around, we have a group whose sound and rhythm challenges those of our current time period.
He was the man. One of the greatest artists that I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. As the title states, I will be having a Nujabes tribute this Sunday for the anniversary of his death. This was meant to be broadcasted February 26th (when he died a few years ago), but I was sick unfortunately. This time, however, I intend to make up for it….
We miss you, Jun Seba. Miss you greatly…
To think that another year is almost over! Glad to have been around another year, and glad to have succeeded in some of my goals. The DJ show of mine (on WCRD.net) went well, and keeping the blog up to date went okay….
All right, I could have done better, but hey 😛
I thought I would post all of the links from the artists I have discussed since the summer on this specific post. I believe past information can be easily forgotten, so I thought having one post dedicated to bringing them back would be a great idea.
So, go the next page and check out the links to all of the artists discussed thus far
This is something I came across tonight as I was listening to ‘Reflection Eternal’, one of Nujabes‘ tracks. Many of his co-musicians appeared to exhibit “Eternal Soul”: A short documentary of Nujabes and how he influenced their lives. After watching and listening to the artists (consisting of Shing02, Substantial, Uyama, and others), you can see and feel their love and appreciation for Seba. Not only did he mean so much to them, but he meant so much to fans all around the world. This is a must-see, indeed
The next artist to be discussed is a man who is truly one of the greatest music producers I have ever listened to. Continue reading
